Local Anacortes resident Rich Bergner has just been named 2008 NATIONAL COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR by the National Wildlife Federation.  Rich is Fidalgo Island’s Certified Backyard habitat specialist inspiring and helping over 500 local homowners plant and develop suitable habitat for wildlife in their own yards.
